How to prepare for your photo session
How far in advance should I book a photo session?
The more time the better! However, I try my best to make short notice shoots work.
How do I choose the location?
Most of the time this will be where your horse lives; natural scenic backdrops always look nice.
Can my dog(s) attend the photo session?
Absolutely!! Your best friends add personality to your photos. A leash may be required if misbehaving, but we'll make it work, I am a dog lover myself!
When is payment due?
A non-refundable deposit will be due in order to reserve your session date, full payment will be due the day of the session. Wild Mane Photos accepts Cash, E-transfer, PayPal, Debit, and most Canadian and US issued Credit Cards.
What if I have to cancel or reschedule my session?
The deposit will reserve your time with me, and for that reason it will be non-refundable if you must cancel within 24 hours. If you need to reschedule, the deposit will be transferred to the new date and time.
What if the weather is bad?
I tend to keep an eye on the weather leading up to your photo session, if mother nature isn't going to be on our side we'll reschedule for the next available date and time.
What should I wear to my photo session?
Whatever you like! If you need some help or ideas I would be happy to help!
What if my horse doesn't like to stand still?
If your horse has a bit more energy, you may want to work him/her before the photo session; some hay before may help as well, to keep the horse(s) focused on us instead of when the next feeding will be.
Can I post my photos on social media etc.?
Yes, once you receive your photos they are yours! You can do as you please, photo credit to Wild Mane Photos is not required however always appreciated.
Can I use my photos for my business?
Yes, you can use the images you purchased for you own business, including advertisement. A third party or another business that is not yours does not own the copyright unless purchased therefore, that business can not use your photos; this is theft.
Does Wild Mane Photos sponsor clubs/clinics/shows and other events or collaberate with other equine businesses?

How far does Wild Mane Photos travel?
Wild Mane Photos is based in Kamloops BC; services are provided within the Thompson-Okanagan region, however not limited to this area. Travel fees may apply to photo shoots.
